Mungkin mobil yang meraih gelar “King dan Champion Autoblackthrough” 2010, merupakan mobil modifikasi paling fenomenal yang pernah ada selama 7 tahun pelaksanaan gelaran Djarum Black Autoblackthrough. Pasalnya yang menang adalah sebuah Honda Genio berpenggerak tenaga listrik!
Honda Genio Aballs dengan julukan SKEV1 milik Sandi ini menggunakan motor listik yang disupplay oleh Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) dan seluruh body serta kaki-kakinya merupakan karya rumah modifikasi Signal asal kota kembang Bandung.
“Kalau LIPI hanya konsentrasi pada teknologi dan kurang konsep di desainnya. Maka kami menyempurnakan dengan konsep desain yang lebih futuristik,” ungkap Andre Mulyadi, builder dari Signal, Bandung.
Honda Genio ini mengalahkan empat nominasi King lainnya yaitu Toyota Innova Autotech bergaya elegan, Renault 18 TL A Salvo yang dimodifikasi layaknya Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee, Honda Jazz Freedom asal Yogyakarta, dan lawan terberatnya VW Type 1 Kupu-Kupu Malam, Yogyakarta.
